  6. This lp came out at the time FM radio was in it's infancy and when people were just starting to buy stereo receivers with power. One of my favorite songs to show off my stereo system was the song The Dawn on this recording. I have seen many best of collections of this /5(57).

  8. Osibisa combined the horns of Chicago with the rhythms of Santana, adding an African sound into the mix. "Dawn," "Music for Gong Gong" and "Think About the People" are just the best starting points on a solid album. What surprised me, though, was how strong the band's second album "Woyaya" is/5(51).
  9. Osibisa's self-titled album opened up their unique blend of African and Western styled music to a wider audience, charting in both the U.S. and Europe. Produced by Tony Visconti, Osibisa's extraordinary merger of African drum beats, colorful rhythms, and rock-inspired keyboard and horn parts give it an expansive sound that infuses countless.
